Blu: Blu is an avid runner and exercise enthusiast who also dabbles in all types of video games, including NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, PC, Switch, and more! He has a massive collection of vintage video games and is known for his wacky, over the top sense of humor. He is also prone to bust out his rendition of the Zataran's trombone when around friends.
Brett: Brett of Rivia, first of his name, Lord of Glencoe Wood and Warden of the Northeast Shores, Architect of Machines, The Game Grappler, Striker of the Pins, Ambassador of the Absurd, Master of Fake Titles. Brett has been many things in life, but primarily he is a gamer and well-adjusted nerd (he owns a sword for crying out loud). He grew up in rural Northern Michigan and, with the exception of moving even farther North to go to college, he has never left. He has been gaming since 1986 and doesn’t intend to stop, ever. He has a personal daily goal of making his wife roll her eyes. He also has fruitless dreams of becoming a famous streamer on Twitch. Brett loves puns and finding ways to work pop culture references and quotes into everyday conversation. He has had a lifelong and unhealthy love of cheeseburgers (like seriously, work some more vegetables into that diet, my guy). Brett uses “um” and “uh” like they are primary components of the English language. He lists The Wheel of Time as his favorite I.P. across all media types. Bowling is his favorite sport and has been a major part of his life since he was 6 years old. In recent years he has really come to love battle royale type games, but his meat and potatoes will always be a great story-driven RPG.
Cody: Cody is blindly loyal to a fault. 38 years later, he still only has and plays video games on his Nintendo systems. He also loves board games, discussion about music, and things that go bump in the night. He lists The X-Files, Lost, Stranger Things, The Mole, Whodunnit, and other thought-provoking TV among his favorites. His favorite video games include Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Resident Evil 4, Goldeneye, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Some of his favorite movies include Clue, The Goonies, The Devil's Rejects, Cabin in the Woods and the entire MCU. He is an avid collector and has boxes of sealed toys, shelves of Funko Pops, and display cases of Marvel lead figurines. He also enjoys visiting famous graves in the United States and has paid respects to James Dean, Martin Luther King Jr., Al Capone, and Annie Oakley. He is also an All Elite Wrestling mega fan and a Red Sox Nation card-carrying member. He met the other others through various phases of his life, but wants to assure you that they are all, in fact, assholes.
Dave: Dave is a fan of many mediums, including TV, movies, video games, and board games. He counts Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost among his favorite shows of all-time. He also loves escape rooms and all sorts of board games. He loves the Resident Evil series, puzzle games, and Portal. He is one of the two avid MCU lovers among the hosts. He is also a burgeoning actor and director!
Joe: Joe is a simple man, with simple tastes. He loves movies, especially thought-provoking works from filmmakers like Akira Kurosawa and Martin Scorcese. He likes music that makes one examine the melancholic futility of human existence, with his favorite artists including The National and Nick Cave. He likes whisky, mostly Scotch, and specifically smoky, peated single malts from Islay, as anything else is simply too pedestrian.
When he’s not being a pretentious asshole, Joe likes dick and fart jokes, hiking, and hanging out with his dog, Scott. His favorite movies include Casablanca, Jurassic Park, Road House, and My Neighbor Totoro. Portal 2 is his favorite video game of all time. And while the statement about his favorite music above is true, he Is also a devout Swiftie. He has also undertaken a weight loss and general health journey with his wife, Alexis, with whom he has an Instagram and YouTube channel called Can’t Hardly Weight! Find a link to that below.
Justin: Justin is rumored to dwell somewhere in the untamed wilderness of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Seldom seen, it's rumored he can be lured out with discussions of video games, horror movies, other cryptids, or the promise of free food--though other pop culture topics may do the trick from time to time. If you do happen to encounter Justin in the wild, it might be a good idea to notify your local branch of the FBC, the SCP, or the BPRD. However, if you're familiar with all of those acronyms, there's a good chance he's already behind you, ready to talk your ear off.
Matt: A true Renaissance man, Matt is known for splitting him between acting, singing, writing, and playing board and video games. A veteran of the stage, Matt has appeared in productions in multiple states, acting as well as singing. He is also an avid traveler with his wife and the father of a wonderful dog. Matt has an affinity for things from the early to mid-80s and can also be known as being quite curmudgeonly.
